With the 5th season of American Idol under way, Kelly Clarkson, the winner of the first season, has stirred up a bit of trouble, which, after a strong response from the public, she has quickly remedied. Originally, since she doesn’t license any of her songs, like hit song “Since U Been Gone,�? for other uses, that meant that none of the Idol contestants could sing her songs on the show that made her famous. Considering that it was the show that launched her career, however, and after an outpouring of media comments acknowledging it, Clarkson agreed that the show could use her songs.
